  2. To be exact, and also to answer several similar inquiries at once:

  4. 1. The Chameleon Sampler is in the Windows Internet Tour 
  5.    Guide and several other books now appearing in print.  It is
  6.    available to other authors who would like to offer practical
  7.    software for Internet connectivity with their publications.
  8.  
  9. 2. The Chameleon Sampler supports both SLIP and PPP.
  10.  
  11. 3. The Chameleon Sampler does NOT have any kind of timeout 
  12.    on the license.
  13.  
  14. 4. It is based on Chameleon 3.11, which isan older software version.
  15.    The Chameleon Sampler has a small subset of the full Chameleon 
  16.    suite. The current production version of Chameleon (Version 4.0) 
  17.    contains over two dozen applications, including Gopher, News, 
  18.    MIME support in Mail, etc. And of course LAN support.
  19.  
  20. 5. The Sampler is NOT in the public domain, nor is it shareware.
  21.  
  22. 6. It is not intended for commercial production use, and is not 
  23.    formally a supported NetManage product.  We do however make best
  24.    efforts to provide support when people call or email questions.
  25.  
  26. 7. People who purchase books containing the Chameleon Sampler 
  27.    are offered an upgarde path to full, supported Chameleon at 
  28.    a discount from regular list.
